Kiln Dried Birch Firewood – Nets
Silver birch is the wood for a fire you want lit fast and burning bright. It catches quickly and throws attractive, lively flames — making it the go-to choice for getting a stove or firepit going, or for shorter sessions where you want good heat and a great-looking fire without waiting around.
Each net holds roughly 10-12kg of split birch logs, kiln dried and moisture tested at our Paisley yard to 10-20% — dry enough to light easily with minimal smoke, and noticeably better quality than the damp logs sold in supermarkets and garages.
Birch or oak — which do I need?
Birch lights faster and burns brighter, so it's ideal for starting a fire or for firepit sessions where you want flame more than long-lasting heat. Oak is denser and burns slower, better suited to a stove you're keeping in for hours. Many customers use birch to get the fire going, then add oak to keep it burning through the evening.
How much do I need?
- 1 net: enough for a couple of evenings by an open fire, or 2-3 firepit sessions
- 12 nets: a fortnight or so of regular use — our most popular option
Prefer a bigger single delivery? Our barrow bags and bulk bags work out cheaper per kg for regular burners.
